Tourist speaking. We had a great experience, were able to seat ourselves inside without wait. They have a lot of covered outdoor seating foe bigger parties as well. QR code menu, we got a lil OG sandwich with broccoli salad, and a 3-piece tender with collard greens. Chicken was crispy and juicy, no complaints. The deviled egg appetizer filled us up so we took home leftovers of tenders and sides.
This restaurant has remained our top choice for lunch at work, and it never disappoints. We always appreciate the law enforcement discount and the incredibly welcoming staff. The waiters are attentive and quick with drink refills, ensuring a seamless dining experience. If you're planning to come during the week, I'd recommend arriving by 11 a.m. to snag a table inside, as it fills up fast. The restaurant itself is consistently clean, including the restrooms. I personally love the Cobb salad and highly recommend upgrading to the large size--it's only $4 more, and you'll likely have leftovers to enjoy later!
Before you walk through these doors, there's one thing you need to know, this is a cashless establishment. We just strolled in and seated ourselves during their 4-6 PM happy hour. They have both a hardcopy and a QR code for their menu. They do have a full bar along with some specialty drinks and some local craft beer. I wasn't really impressed by their 8 ounce eight dollar frozen margarita, best to go with the Big Larry which sadly is also 8oz. Let's start with the sides, the broccoli salad definitely has some heat to it, the fries are pretty average, the collard greens are good, but the coleslaw is better than what most barbecue joints serve. I got the half chicken, which was "Mo Hot" and it was definitely spicey! The only drawback on our visit was the fact that our waiter checked out after the food was delivered. There was not many servers on duty and our waiter got hit with a large party outside which kept him from taking care of us. It took another waitress to pick up his slack and offer us a dessert. They do make some very good pies and our chocolate cream pie was no exception. One recommendation I would make is that they need napkin dispensers on the tables since they only give you one. When it's time to settle up, you'll be signing off on the handheld device. Photos included to fill in the blanks?
solid chicken spot! have heard great things about tumble 22 and decided to stop by for lunch. we got the southern sandwich and the korean sandwich with fries for both. southern: I got dang hot which was pretty underwhelming, i'll have to try hotter next time! I did like that fact that they don't just completely drench the chicken in spice powder like other places. the meat wasn't dry and I love the buns they use. it was also massive! 5/5 korean: this one was just okay for me. my friend got theirs mo hot and it was not spicy at all! the sandwich was really saucy + the slaw (also could not taste much of the kimchi). I think the sauce was really overpowering. 3/5 fries were standard but the comeback sauce was really good. our server was also awesome!
If you're hunting for fried chicken that'll slap you in the face--in the best way--head to Tumble 22. Their chicken ranges from "Wimpy" (basically chicken in witness protection) to "Stupid Hot," which might require a waiver and next-of-kin notification. Each heat level is a fiery rite of passage. For the best experience, sit at the bar. You'll get front-row seats to chicken-frying theatrics and join in with locals who treat hot chicken like an Olympic sport. One minute, you're swapping tips with a guy named Bubba; the next, you're getting life advice from a grandma tougher than your stomach. Tumble 22 isn't just a restaurant; it's a flavorful adventure. The chicken will challenge you, the heat levels will humble you, and the bar-side banter will keep you entertained. When your lips are tingling and your mouth's on fire, it's not just the chicken--it's Tumble 22's spicy hug.
Back for my first time since last year!!....Chicken overload with the run on the SOTM for 2023 and this round I ordered plain old fried Chicken...well anything but plain...super fresh, nice and spicy....just like I remembered. Service at this location is always great, fast to clean tables...seams they shifted to a seat yourself design and it works well. Finished the meal with a couple of to go slices of pie.
As I am late to the Tumble party, I probably won't have much new information to share. But just in case you haven't heard, this chicken is great! I tried to place my order online for pick up, but looked like they only took a cc or Google Pay- no Apple, so we stopped in and ordered some food to go at the bar. The bartender was nice, efficient, and he had a nice grin. He seemed to have a loyal crowd gabbing with him, but he made time for us. We ordered the Cluckin Hot 1/2 mixed with collard greens and Szechuan fries and a wimpy 3 piece tenders with fries and mac. The chicken was huge (like 1 tender = 3 tenders at any other quick serve chicken joint), moist, lightly coated, and flavorful. The bbq sauce had a nice flavor and the comeback sauce is going to make me do just that! The greens were pretty tasty. But the Mac was perfect: cheesy spirals that made me feel all warm and happy inside. The plain fries were meh: a little soggy and no flavor. The Szechuan fries were soggy but who cares; they packed a fun punch. All in all, way too much food for two people! I want to go back (when we finish all the leftovers) and try one of the sandwiches and cocktails!
My first time coming to Tumble 22 was a great experience! I had heard great things about Tumble 22 and finally made my way out to try it for a Friday lunch. We ended up going at a later lunch time at like 3pm so there was plenty of parking in the lot out front and not many patrons inside. We sat ourselves and the server was quick to be very attentive with waters and fielding any questions. I ended up getting The Southern chicken sandwich with a Mo-Hot spice level. The chicken was fried to perfection and super tasty. The spice was pretty mild and wasn't too spicy at all but added a nice kick. The fries were also top notch so the food was a solid 10/10. Very crispy and tender. If I ever have another fried chicken craving, Tumble 22 will be my go to spot for some quality food and atmosphere. Also whoever was running AUX that day did an excellent job providing some great music while we ate. Looking forward to returning!
Southern style fried chicken, sides and delicious pie make this place stand out. Their fried chicken is moist, has a nice crunch and you can adjust the spicy level to your liking. The sides are solid. Ordered classics like collard greens, beans, Cole slaw and fries. Biggest surprise for me was the pies. We ordered the blueberry and chocolate creme pie. Both were incredible. I could see myself eating the blueberry one with coffee for breakfast!
Do you like chicken that is super crispy and juicy in the inside? Do you like pickles and spice? Well are you in for a ride because this place is one of the most amazing places in the world. I was a bit skeptical when my uncle told me this place was the BEST. But it is Even if you don't like spicy or pickles! They got the most delicious Mac and cheese and pie! The pictures do it no justice. We were a huge party; we took up two tables and a booth. After getting to our seats we had a little mishap but the employees were quick to make it work. Our food order was placed and although service was a little slow, food came out hot and as fast as it could. So got to give it to them for making the experience great. 10/10 crispiest chicken ever!! Would love to eat here again.
